SF Restaurant Week is actually ten days long. If you’re ok with the fact that the title of the event is an outright lie, read on.
Ok, no one can blame them — “restaurant week” does have a better ring to it than “ten days of restaurants and things”. I’m super excited about SFRW, which is the latest incarnation of the former Dine About Town, now hosted by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association. What is SFRW? I thought you’d never ask. Bullet points:
- January 21-30, 2015
- Participating restaurants all around SF
- Fixed menus for lunch (2 courses $25pp), dinner (3 courses $40pp), or super fancy dinner (tasting menu $85pp)
That’s it! I think it’s a great way to try out one or many restaurants you’ve been meaning to get to, and I’m hoping that with a good turnout this year, it will be even better next year. I’ve already booked four reservations (which means I will likely be entering their contest, read below), and I hope you’ll join me in chowing down for SF Restaurant Week.
The contest: Make reservations at 4 restaurants. Attend said reservations. Order from the SFRW menu during your meal. Take a photo of your meal with the menu adjacent. Submit 4 photos from your 4 restaurant visits in ONE post to the SFRW Facebook page with the names of the restaurants you went to and the hashtag #SFRW. You’ll be automatically entered to win (12) $100 gift cards to local restaurants (yes, $1,200 in gift cards). Or, don’t do it so that I’m the only entry and win automatically. 🙂
